Dear Mom,
Can I have a dog? I think that I am old enough. A dog is a really good partner to play with. I can train it to do tricks. The dog would teach me all kinds of responsibility.
I can play with the dog instead of sitting on the couch and seeing the TV. The dog can play soccer with me when I am bored. I can teach him tricks like give his paw when I say, “paw.” The dog will teach me responsibility, so you won’t have to. I will always clean up after him and walk him.
I know that he or she would have to be feed everyday, but I wall take care of it. When I am about to go to school I will feed him. When I get back from school I will feed him before I do anything else. I will clean after he does his business. I will remember to take him on walks in the morning and afternoon. I will use all the money that I have saved just to feed the dog, vaccinate the dog, and to care for the dog. If the dog shedes I will clean any furniture that has his hair on it.
Please mom can I have a dog. He will be the best dog ever know. It would mean you don’t have to buy me a birthday or Christmas present for at least two years. I hope you said yes because my dad already bought him for me. He is waiting at my bed and he’s a big one.

Sincerely,
Karen

P.S. I hope you are not mad that my dad got the dog already.
